Inflectra (Infliximab)

Inflectra is a biosimilar to Remicade, the originator product.  Inflectra contains the active ingredient infliximab, a monoclonal antibody protein which targets and attaches to TNF alfa.  Inflectra is called a TNF blocker as it blocks the inflammatory action of TNF alfa. 

Inflectra is used by adults for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriasis. Inflectra is used by adults and children above 6 years of age for Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis.

This product requires special packaging to maintain its integrity during the shipping process. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICATION if the attached temperature indicator shows that the medication was exposed to temperatures below 2 degrees or above 8 degrees celsius, and contact the pharmacy immediately.
