Forteo is called Forsteo in Europe.
Forteo (called Forsteo in the UK) is used in adults for the treatment of osteoporosis. Forteo strengthens the bones and stimulates bone formation to reduce fracture risk.
Osteoporosis is most common in women after menopause but also occurs in men. Forteo is a choice of therapy also in patients taking chronic corticosteroids.
