Invokamet can also replace the separate use of Invokana (canagliflozin) and Glucophage (metformin).

Invokamet is taken 2 times per day, in doses depending upon your previous treatment and severity of diabetes. Your physician may change your dose as per your blood sugar levels. 

When adding Invokamet to insulin or other medicines, your physician may need to reduce the strength of you other medicines so as not to bring your blood sugar too low.

Invokamet works by blocking SGLT2, a protein in the kidney which brings sugar back into the bloodstream and it also inhibits sugar production and re-absorption back into the gut.
