Prescription Dovato is a combination drug containing both dolutegravir and lamuvidine for the treatment of HIV-1 where the disease is not resistant to either ingredient. Dovato is approved by the USFDA as a complete treatment for HIV-1 patients as a first treatment under these conditions. Dovato is not a cure for HIV however it keeps the amount of virus in the body at low levels, allowing your body's immune system to function and fight off other conditions and infections asscociated with AIDS.

Dovato is prescribed to adults and children over 12 years old (over 40kg weight). The dose of Dovato is usually 1 tablet daily with or without food however may be prescribed differently depending on the patient.
