Information about Cosopt Preservative-Free (Dorzolamide/Timolol)
Cosopt Preservative-Free is an eye drop medication used to manage elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It combines two active ingredients: dorzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, and timolol, a non-selective beta-blocker, in a formulation that excludes preservatives. This preservative-free version is ideal for patients with sensitive eyes or those who react adversely to preservatives, offering the same efficacy in lowering IOP while minimizing potential irritation.
